The Different Dimple Jacket Configurations

Dimple jackets serve as a protective enclosure for pressure vessels in a variety of industries. Its horizontal and vertical grooves are a preferred attribute due to the impact it has on the turbulence of the heating and cooling medium. Here at CMPI, we can fabricate dimpled sheets for any fabrication. Read on to learn about the different dimple jacket configurations our team of jacket vessel experts can fabricate for you.

Dimple Jackets

Here at CMPI, our experts can fabricate and weld a wide range of dimple jacket configurations for your ASME or non-ASME needs. We don’t have standard products to showcase because we serve each client and their projects individually. However, we do carry different styles of dimple jackets. Each one has varying hole diameters, spacing, and depths to provide a custom fit to our client’s specifications.

Below are a few of the different dimple jacket welding CMPI can configure.

Rolled Sheets

Our rolled sheets are dimple jackets that are already formed and rolled to shape in our shop. The edges come crimped and ready for installation onto your fabrication. If your company does not specialize in dimple jacket installation, we can provide you with the shell, cone, or dished head installed with its proper dimple jacket per ASME or non-ASME code.

Cutouts and Odd Shaped Jackets

If you have an oddly shaped fabrication, CMPI can provide you with a custom fit and cutout. If needed, CMPI can also fabricate a custom, welded dimple jacket component to fit your requirements.

Patterns

Our dimple jackets also come in different patterns. Below are two examples:

Straight

In a straight pattern, the dimple is arranged in a rectangular configuration across the surface area of the material. This is typically used for cylinders or flat rectangular shapes.

Radial

In a radial pattern, the dimple is arranged in a circular configuration across the surface area of its material. This is typically used for dished heads, cones, and circular flat likes, such as flat bottom heads, covers, and lids.

Now that you know about all the different dimple jacket configurations CMPI can provide, give us a call for your next welding project.
